A superb Victorian glass, Primrose Pearline covered butter dish. Made by the British company Davidson around 1900, this was part of their Primrose Pearline range. The lemon colour was produced by adding uranium to the mixture. The butter dish glows magnificently under black light.
Pearline glass was produced between 1889 to 1914.
Condition
The butter dish is in very good condition. There are a few tiny bubbles in the glass and there is one tiny rough area on the outer lid rim.
The white marks are just light reflection.
