Description

A Wedgwood black basalt oval plaque of 'The Frightened Horse'. Produced in a limited edition of 250, this is No 140.  

The plaque depicts 'The Frightened Horse' and is based on a painting by George Stubbs (1724-1806) completed around 1765.   

Moulded in deep relief from Wedgwood's black basalt, the plaque is mounted in it's original velvet lined frame.  

Marked Wedgwood, Made in England.

Condition

The plaque and frame are in very good condition. There is a tiny mark on the frame.
