Description
A pretty Victorian pink Satin cased glass vase. The vase has a frilled top and a spot air trap design. The graduation of the colour from pale to darker is very attractive.
First produced in the 1880's Satin Glass was very popular during the Victorian era. The glass was dipped in acid to give a dull, silky, matt finish. This was then either left blank, or decorated with enamelled designs, or coupled with an Air Trap design, such as diamond quilting or herringbone.
Condition
The vase is in very good vintage condition.
