Bertoncello Italian Jug, "Tabacco" Colour, Impressive Mid Century Pitcher

Description

This eye-catching large jug is in is the sculptural modernist looking form which Bertoncello is best known for. Produced mainly in two colours this mottled tan glaze is the most commonly seen.

The sculptural appearance of many Bertoncello pieces, including this jug, was enhanced by the use of feet which subtly raise the piece off the surface on which it sits.

Bertoncello closed in 1999.

This is a heavy item.

Condition

The jug is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing.

The white marks are just light on the jug.
